What is a string quartet?
Two violins, a viola and a cello.
What events will you play for?
Almost anything! We play for weddings, parties, ceremonies, private dinners, book launches, exhibitions, corporate functions, garden parties, public concerts and military dinners.
Will you play anything off your repertoire list?
We will endeavour to play anything you request, and in any order you choose - just ask.
Will you play during my wedding ceremony?
We are happy to play whenever you wish during your event.
What are your transport costs?
This depends on which part of the country you would like us to play in, and our means of getting there (car, train or even boat!) Please contact us by phone or email for more details.
Can you play outside?
Yes, provided it is relatively warm and there is cover.
How much space will you need, and do I need to provide chairs?
Yes please! We will need four chairs and a space large enough to play in (approx. 1.5m depth by 2.5m length).
Do I need to provide food for the Quartet?
No, not unless you'd like to! We would ask if we could please have a glass of water each to keep us going.
What do the quartet wear?
We perform in DJs (for the men) and all black (for the ladies). However, we can wear anything you like within reason! If you'd prefer some colour we can wear smart black trousers and a coloured shirt for example.
Can I have an invoice?
The music industry commonly uses verbal contracts, plus we will send you a confirmation email. We can provide you with an invoice too if you'd like.
Can I book you for any date?
You can only book up to 12 months in advance and, if free, we are happy to play on any day.
Do I need to pay a deposit?
Due to the popularity of the original quartet from 1998, we can now provide more than one quartet per day as we have a number of back-up players whom we rehearse with for such a purpose.
